Privacy policy

This policy describes PLC Practice Lab, the browser-based learning application at plclearn.com. This version has no accounts, payments or project-upload service.
Projects and local storage
Your program is edited and simulated on your device. The application does not upload project contents, variable names, comments or test results to a backend. Do not enter personal information, passwords or confidential industrial programs.

These records use localStorage on this site's origin, not a cloud account. They have no automatic time-based expiry; browsers may also remove them. Other people using the same browser profile may access them.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The current application does not set cookies, include advertising, load third-party tracking scripts or configure an external analytics service. Local storage supports the features described above. Development builds may print limited diagnostic events to the developer console; the production build does not enable those events by default.
Hosting and access logs
The public domain plclearn.com is hosted using Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. Delivering a public website involves normal web requests. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser information, requested paths and request times for delivery, security and troubleshooting, separately from locally stored projects.
This release does not configure application access logging, Workers observability, Web Analytics or advertising. Cloudflare may maintain infrastructure records under its own policies; this application does not set their retention period. Cloudflare's processing is described in its privacy policy. This does not replace the operator's responsibilities.
Exports and share links
Export downloads a JSON file to your device. Import reads a file you choose in the browser. Exported files remain until you delete them and may be copied or backed up by your device software.
Share links encode the program in the URL fragment after #share=. A fragment is not included in the normal HTTP request to the hosting server, but the full link can remain in browser history, synced history, the clipboard, screenshots or messages. Anyone with the link can read and copy the program. It is not encrypted, password-protected or remotely revocable.
Your choices and requests
Use Export before deleting records you want to keep. To remove this application's browser records, close its tabs and clear this site's stored data in your browser settings. This removes saved projects, recovery drafts, progress and interface preferences. Delete downloaded files and shared copies separately; clearing site data does not erase copies held by others or infrastructure logs.
Privacy rights depend on your location and the processing involved. Contact the operator about access, correction, deletion or other applicable requests for information it holds, or contact your local data-protection authority. The operator cannot retrieve projects that exist only in your browser.
Changes
This notice will be updated when data practices change. New accounts, analytics or cloud features require an updated notice and any choices required by applicable law before activation.

PLC Learn is run by an independent creator. This site does not currently offer a public contact form or support mailbox.
