Terms of use

Last updated: October 29, 2026

These terms describe use of PLC Practice Lab, a free browser-based learning tool. No account, subscription or checkout is offered in this version.

Educational use

Use the application to study and experiment with ladder logic. It is not an industrial controller, a safety system, an engineering approval or a professional qualification. Read the disclaimer and supported limitations before relying on a result.

Your programs and responsibilities

You retain any rights you have in programs and files you create or import. Local editing does not grant the operator ownership of your work. Only import or share material you have permission to use. Do not enter secrets or personal information, distribute malicious files, disrupt the service or infringe another person's rights.

Saving and sharing

You are responsible for keeping independent backups. Browser storage, recovery drafts and share links are not a managed backup service. Storage can be blocked, cleared or lost. Sharing reveals the encoded program to recipients, and copies cannot be recalled through this application.

Availability and changes

The application may contain errors or become unavailable. Features and exercises may change. No uptime, permanent storage or compatibility with any PLC vendor's software or hardware is promised. Changes to these terms will show an updated date; any additional notice or agreement required by law will be provided where applicable.

Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. To that same extent, the operator is not liable for losses arising from reliance on simulation results, loss of locally stored work or service interruption.

These terms do not exclude liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections and liability for fraud or other conduct that applicable law does not permit us to disclaim.

Third-party rights

Bundled open-source components remain subject to their own licenses; see open-source notices. PLC vendor names and trademarks belong to their owners. This project does not imply vendor affiliation, endorsement or certification.

Applicable rights

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory rights or legal remedies that apply where you live. These terms impose no exclusive court, governing-law jurisdiction or arbitration requirement.

Operator and contact

PLC Learn is run by an independent creator. This site does not currently offer a public contact form or support mailbox.
